Brazilian trade delegation to visit Iran
The Brazilian Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Miguel Jorge will arrive in Tehran at the helm of a trade delegation to discuss bilateral ties.
Jorge, who will arrive in Tehran on Monday (April 12), will hold talks with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and some Iranian ministers and senior officials.
Earlier this month, Brazilian Ambassador to Iran Antonio Luis Espinola Salgado had announced that a delegation of 80 businesspersons and industrialists will accompany Jorge during his trip to the Iranian capital.
During the Brazilian delegation’s two-day visit to Iran, a joint trade commission will be held to review initiatives for further enhancing trade ties between the two countries.
Brazil has repeatedly declared that it is determined to maintain its trade ties with Iran, despite the Western calls for new sanctions against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program.
