Tactical drill launched in SE Iran
The Iranian Army has launched a drill in southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province to show its readiness to counter any threat, a senior official said.
Lieutenant General Ali Arasteh, a deputy commander of the Iranian Army, said on Sunday that the tactical military exercise will be conducted in an expanse of 15,000 km in the southern part of the province, Mehr news agency reported.
He noted that different units of the Army managed to rapidly get deployed to the area and demonstrated their military might.
The Iranian official stated that the drill’s message to the neighboring countries is sustainable security, peace and friendship.
The war game is being conducted under the command of the Army’s South East Headquarters, with a focus on asymmetrical warfare.
