Blast kills UK soldier in Afghanistan
The UK Ministry of Defense has confirmed the death of another British soldier in Afghanistan amid a surge in militant attacks against US-led forces in the country.
Britain’s Ministry of Defense says that a bomb attack has killed a British soldier in Afghanistan.
The exact location of the incident is not known. Britain has about 10,000 troops in Afghanistan, mostly based in the south of the country.
The development comes a day after the ministry confirmed the death of two British troops in the southern province of Helmand on Monday.
Since the start of the war in 2001, 328 British soldiers have lost their lives in the war-torn country.
The US-led foreign troops are going through their most difficult times in Afghanistan since invading the country back in 2001.
