Iran stresses expansion of cultural cooperation among Muslim nations
Hosseini is currently in Algeria to attend a ceremony on announcing one of its major cities as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World.
He held separate meetings on the sidelines of the ceremony with participating officials from Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, the United Arab Emirate, Palestine, Tunisia, Comoros, Sudan and Afghanistan.
Hosseini stressed during the meetings that the Islamic states could become a powerful cultural club at the international scene relying on their common cultural points.
He stressed that formation of the Islamic states’ cultural club would prevent the West from insulting the Islamic sanctities.
