Afghan leader says Muslims must thwart plots of western governments
The head of Afghanistan’s Ulema Council Qyamuddin Kashaf said on Monday that Muslim nations must thwart plots of the Western governments.
Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference of Ahlul Bait World Assembly currently underway in Tehran, Kashaf said the Western governments are trying to confiscate waves of the Islamic Awakening in the Muslim states.
He said the conference is playing a crucial role to acknowledge the Islamic Awakening movements, adding the Conference is the best venue to get acquainted with the viewpoints of other participants.
The 5th International Conference of Ahlul Bait World Assembly kicked off in Tehran with a lecture by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The four-day event is attended by over 600 foreign and 400 Iranian guests including a number of Muslim scholars and political and scientific figures from around the world.
