‘US officials are not trustworthy’
The Vice-Chairman of Iran Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Mansour Haqiqatpour, has noted that Americans cannot be trusted for negotiations.
According to IRIB World Service on Friday, this Iranian lawmaker said that the US officials have always been untrustworthy in the course of history.
He added that one should not act hastily toward the US call for talks, and the honor and dignity of the Iranian nation and the sacred Islamic system should be taken into consideration in all decisions.
He noted that the condition for talks is a change in US hostile policies and acts against Islamic Republic of Iran.
The US officials are claiming to be prepared to hold talks with Iran while the US Senate recently approved a number of new sanctions against the Iranian nation. This development in turn shows the double standards in the US policies and the untrustworthiness of the US officials.
