Iran Inaugurates over 600 Educational, Training, Sports Projects
Over 600 educational, training and sports projects were inaugurated across Iran on Tuesday in a ceremony participated by President Hassan Rouhani.
The projects were inaugurated on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution (1979).
In addition to President Rouhani who inaugurated an educational center in Tehran province, the governor-generals of 8 provinces, including East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan, Khorassan Razavi, South Khorassan, Isfahan, Fars, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari and Sistan and Balouchestan inaugurated the educational and sports projects in their provinces through video conferencing.
Also yesterday on the second day of ceremonies to mark the Islamic Revolution’s victory, Iran’s home-made Fajr satellite was sent into the orbit on the back of the home-made Safir-e Fajr launcher.
After ordering its launching, President Rouhani said the country has ushered into a new era of aerospace technology by sending a new home-made satellite into orbit on Monday.
“The prominent Iranian scientists and thinkers have entered a new stage in area of space sciences,” Rouhani said after Iran launched its home-made Fajr satellite into orbit.
“The government is determined to continue the path of national progress and God willing, we will reach a stage in the coming when all the country’s needs in the space field will be met by the hands of the powerful Iranian scientists and based on indigenized technology,” he added.
