Syrian Armed Forces Stage Massive Attacks against Terrorists in North
The rebels’ strongholds, in the Northern parts of Syria, the Aleppo province’s borders with Turkey in particular, were raided by the country’s commandoes, who killed, wounded and arrested so many militants and captured some others.
The Syrian army’s operations covered vast areas in al-Jaboul, Khan Touman, Khan al-Assal, Kfar Hamra, al-Lairamoun and Erbid in Aleppo countryside.
A large number of insurgents were killed and wounded in the abovementioned battlefields.
Syria has been the scene of insurgency since 2011 when certain western powers and their regional allies voiced loudly that Syrian protests have no diplomatic solution and they started supplying the country’s opposition groups with their arms and funds.
Since 2014, specially after victory of President Bashar al-Assad in the country’s presidential election in summer, the army has gained upper hand in its anti-terrorism campaign, and has been partly successful in sealing borders with Turkey and Jordan.
