March marks the second biggest death toll in Iraq since early 2015
The UN and Iraq Health Ministry have announced that death toll from the violence and terrorist attacks in Iraq reached 1234 people in March alone. The figures are higher than those of February and the second largest toll since the beginning of 2015.
The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq UNAMI says 268 Iraqi security forces, including the Kurdish Peshmerga, special task forces and volunteers were killed in March while 387 others were injured.
The number of mortalities in Iraq is increasing month by month due to the terrorist attacks and the presence of ISIL takfiri terrorists in the country, which threaten the lives of thousands of civilians.
