Insane Hillary Clinton announces presidential candidacy

14 April 2015 11:00

It was Washington’s worst kept secret. Many people in the US wondered when Hillary Clinton would announce that she’s running for president and on Sunday she ended all speculation. Clinton posted a video online saying that she’s throwing her hat into the ring.

If Clinton wins, she would be the first female commander-in-chief in US history. But she’s been in this position before–vying for the top political position in the land. She challenged President Barack Obama in 2008 and we all know how that ended.

The former first lady and secretary of state will attempt to define her message to the public. But don’t expect an agenda too much different from Barack Obama.
Clinton is the most recognizable democratic candidate to officially announce that she’s running for president. She’s already has a growing number of Republican rivals. Not so many from Democrats. She plans to campaign heavily in the influential states of Iowa and New Hampshire.

Over the upcoming months, Clinton will defend her resume which includes being a US Senator and Secretary of State. But before she gets the nomination, she’ll be questioned about what happened during her tenure when a 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya killed four Americans including a US ambassador. Her testimony on Capitol Hill created a spectacle as she defended her leadership.

More recently, Clinton is facing the criticism of using a personal server to communicate with during her time as Secretary of State. Republicans requested a vast of amount of emails from her account and although she handed over thousands to a A Republican-led U.S. congressional panel, she says many were destroyed and to this day they remain unaccounted for.
