Iran Army unveils new defense achievements
The latest Iranian military achievements of different units of Iranian armed forces were unveiled during the parades in southern Tehran on Saturday.
The Iranian armed forces staged parades in front of the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran the late Imam Khomeini attended by President Hassan Rouhani on the occasion of the National Army Day.
Several radar systems, armed robots, a wheeled battle tank, an ultra-light combat vehicle a 23 mm-caliber gun and a 14.5 mm-caliber gun were among the new military achievements that were unveiled by the country’s Ground Force today.
The parades of Iranian armed forces was also broadcast live on Iranian TV networks: Press TV, Alalam, IRIB 1 as well as Iran Radio.
Over 400 reporters from Iran, Syria, Germany, China, Turkey, France, Palestine, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Kuwait and Japan would cover the event.
In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
Tehran has repeatedly assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
