Palestinians in Gaza Strip hold rally in solidarity with prisoners in zionist jails
Hamas movement held a big rally on Saturday night to pay homage to thousands of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. Thousands of Palestinians have been arrested by Israel since 1967 and that’s why the prisoner’s issue is very important for people.
Currently there are over 6,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody including women and minors.
In the rally titled “our prisoners, your dawn is near” Hamas officials vowed to use force against Israel in order to release Palestinian prisoners.
Palestinian officials accused the international community of failing to protect the rights of Palestinian prisoners languishing in Israeli prisons. The father of one prisoner called on the Palestinian factions to learn from the tactics of the Lebanese resistance Movement Hezbollah in dealing with Israel.
Over three hundred Palestinian prisoners are also being held in Israeli detention centers without charge or trial under the so-called administrative detention. Hamas, which managed to free over one-thousand Palestinian prisoners in a swap deal with Israel in 2011, says it remains adamant to secure the release of all Palestinian detainees from Israeli jails.
