27 April 2015 18:20

Speaking in a funeral ceremony with some Lebanese parliament members in attendence, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem leveled criticism at those Lebanese parties for supporting Saudi-backed presidential candidate, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA)

Needless to say, March 14 Alliance, which is led by the pro-Saudi figure Saad Hariri, has thus far supported the candidacy of anti-Hezbollah figure, Samir Geagea, who is well known for having a history of collaboration with Israel.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal has reportedly objected to the candidacy of Hezbollah ally, Michel Aoun, a former Lebanese army commander and the current leader of the Free Patriotic Movement.

In this regard, Sheikh Naim Qassem urged Lebanese nation to stay with Hezbollah and Islamic Republic of Iran instead of relying on those countries support terrorism in the region.

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General censured wrong stances and positions taken by Lebanese army, stressing the army should pay the price of such policy. Sheikh Qassem also placed emphases on the presence of terrorism and terroristic groups in Lebanon, criticizing their measures in the country.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General underscored, “Hezbollah is honored to stay beside Islamic Republic of Iran.” In his term, If Lebanese nations stay with Iran, they would triumph in the long run.

Pointing to catalog of crimes and massacre in Yemen, Sheikh Naim Qassem also condemned severely the measures perpetrated by Saudi Arabia in the country.

To the Lebanese cleric, political solution is the right path. In his term Saudi Arabia should “Leave Yemen for its people, or else what is the difference between the Israeli aggression against Gaza civilians and the Saudi aggression against Yemen civilians.”
