President Rouhani calls for increasing efforts to make more progress
President Hassan Rouhani underlined that difference of opinion is quite natural in every society and people should increase their tolerance and hear other voices.
‘We should set aside the quarrels which are dangerous and harmful to us,’ President Rouhani said, addressing a meeting with the elite and ulemma of Fars province in Shiraz city on Wednesday.
The Iranian president, meantime, called on the critics of the government’s economic policies to adopt a softer tone.
‘Let’s reconcile in the real sense of word, calm the atmosphere and compensate for the backward trends by redoubling our efforts,’ he added.
‘We have country with abundance of talents and human resources which has a high strategic importance; all these are the important advantage of this vast land,’ President Rouhani said.
President Rouhani arrived in the city of Shiraz, capital of the southern province of Fars, Wednesday morning at the 16th leg of his provincial tours.
During his two-day stay here, President Rouhani is to hold public meetings, confer with officials, meet provincial tribes as well as economic figures and elite figures of the province and visit the ancient Persepolis.
The President has already visited Khuzestan, Hormuzgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Ilam, Lorestan, Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiari, Ardebil, Razavi Khorassan, Zanjan, Golestan, Southern Khorassan, Bushehr, Isfahan, Qom and Gilan provinces.
