Saudi aircraft have dropped weapons to al-Qaeda terrorists in the Yemeni province of Taiz.

The planes airdropped the arms on Habashi mountain in the southwestern province in the early hours of Thursday, amid incessant airstrikes against the impoverished Arab country.

Earlier, Saudi warplanes reportedly launched over 100 airstrikes on the northwestern Sa’ada and western Hajjah provinces and carried out six airstrikes on Sa’ada.

Saudi navy warships also fired several rockets on Maydi hospital in Hajjah province.

On Wednesday, Saudi fighter jets bombarded a military airport in the Yemeni province of Lahij in the country’s south.

Saudi warplanes have also carried out strikes on various parts of Yemen with the latest raids targeting the provinces of Ma’rib and Dhamar, where dozens of people, mostly women and children, were killed.

Saudi Arabia started its military aggression against Yemen on March 26 — without a UN mandate — in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to the fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Riyadh.

The Saudi military campaign has claimed the lives of over 1,200 people so far and injured several thousand others. Hundreds of women and children are among the victims, according to the United Nations health agency.
