Leader’s Aide: US Generals Not Serious about Fighting ISIL
The US administration and military commanders aren’t serious about fighting the terrorist groups, specially the ISIL, Top Military Aide to the Iranian Supreme Leader Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said Sunday.
“We haven’t seen any determination and resolve on the side of the Americans and in their coalition in the war on ISIL,” Safavi said, addressing IRGC officials and forces in the Central city of Isfahan today.
He underlined that the US is not only ignorant in fighting the ISIL, but also supports the terrorist group.
Safavi referred to the recent West-sponsored proxy wars by terrorists and Saudi Arabia in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, and said that Israelis are happy with the security that they have gained through the massacre of the Muslims in Syria, Iraq and Yemen using the Islamic countries’ resources and money.
Safavi also said that the war waged by the Saudis against Yemen is also a proxy war fought for the US, the Zionist regime and their European allies.
The US and its western allies, which extended their full support for the ISIL and other Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist in Syria to topple President Bashar al-Assad government, have now formed an international coalition to demolish the same group in Iraq.
Observers believe that the US contradictory policies towards one single issue testify that Washington in not serious about war onterrorism.
In relevant remarks in April, top commander of the Iranian Armed Forces said the US military planes were making regular flights to and from airports ISIL-controlled cities to supply the terrorist group with weapons, money and foodstuff.
“We have received reports that the US planes visit the ISIL(-controlled) airports,” Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi told reporters on the sidelines of military parades held in Tehran to mark the Army Day.
“The US shouldn’t supply weapons and money to ISIL and then apologizes and says that it has done a mistake. The Americans say that they want to confront the ISIL (but) we haven’t seen any practical measure but reconnaissance and surveillance operations,” he added.
Predicting that a cruel wave of terrorism would sweep Europe, the US and all mankind in the near future, Firouzabadi said all the world people, including those in the US and Europe, should try to fight against terrorism in defense of the right of living instead of providing them with weapons and huge sums of money that has made ISIL the best paid militant and armed group in the world.
“If the US is honest in its statements that it has not created the ISIL, it can fight against it easily and we hope that the US and British governments will fight against the ISIL even for the sake of their own nations,” he added.
