Syrian Army Pushes Back Nusra Fighters form Strategic Mountain in Idlib Province

17 May 2015 10:09

The Syrian Armed Forces stormed positions of the al-Nusra Front in the surrounding areas of Jabal al-Arbaeen in the Northwestern province of Idlib and pushed back militants from the fighting areas, military sources in the province said.

The source said that several terrorists were killed or wounded in the army’s operations in the strategic mountain of Jabal al-Arbaeen, and meantime, the army men accessed better monitoring position over the battlefields in the region.

The Syrian army troops on Thursday killed scores of the foreign-backed Takfiri militants in Idlib province.

The Syrian troops defending the National Hospital of Jisr al-Shughour in Idlib countryside destroyed a large refrigerator truck loaded with huge amounts of explosives before reaching the wall of the hospital, killing dozens of terrorists who were near the vehicle, a military source said.

The Syrian Army and government have defended their country against insurgents since 2011 when a huge number of foreign terrorists flocked to the Middle-Eastern country.

In spite of certain western states’ military and financial supports for the militants, the Syrian troops have been able to push them back from many areas across the country.

Military estimates show the fall of militancy in Syria is not far.
