Yemeni Troops Make Inroads on Saudi-Backed Terrorists in Aden

29 May 2015 18:46

Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters along with army units made gains against pro-Hadi militias in the Southern Yemeni city of Aden.

According to the latest reports, scores of fighters loyal to the country’s fugitive former president, Mansour Hadi, were killed on Thursday as Yemeni popular forces intensified their offensive in the Northern and Eastern parts of Aden.

The Ansarullah fighters and the army troops have made major advances in their fight against the terrorists across Yemen.

The clashes between the Ansarullah fighters and the Saudi-backed al-Qaeda terrorists as well as the pro-Hadi militias continue in the Southern parts of the country as Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 65 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 4,113 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

Five Persian Gulf States — Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait — and Egypt that are also assisted by Israel and backed by the US declared war on Yemen in a joint statement issued on March 26.
