Hezbollah Vows Continued Confrontation against Israel
Deputy Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement Sheikh Naeem Qassem reiterated that his group will continue the fight against Israel and its allies until final victory.
“Today Islam is confronting those who have tainted its image and claim that they have raised the flag of Islam while their performance contradicts the Islamic teachings,” Al-Ahd news website quoted Sheikh Qassem as saying on Saturday.
He reiterated that Hezbollah will never quit resistance, and said, “We believe in the triangle of army, nation and the resistance in the path of freedom.”
Sheikh Qassem noted that the arrogant powers have a problem with the faithfulness of the Muslim people, and they support terrorist groups such as the al-Qaeda, the ISIL and Al-Nusra Front terrorists to spread blasphemy.
Last week, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said the resistance movement’s success in forcing Israeli forces out of Lebanon’s soil 15 years ago was a victory for all Lebanese and Muslims.
Nasrallah made the remarks in the Southern town of Nabatiyeh during a televised speech celebrating the anniversary of Israeli forces’ withdrawal from Southern Lebanon.
He paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives to bring victory to the resistance movement.
Hezbollah chief added that if the resistance movement had not risen against the Tel Aviv regime Israel would have occupied Lebanon.
Hezbollah forced the Israeli military out of the Southern parts of Lebanon on May 25, 2000, after more than two decades of occupation.
