Kuwaiti MP: Persian Gulf Sheikhdoms Victims of Saudi Support for Terrorism
“Saudi Arabia and Qatar have created many dangers for the region through their support for terrorism,” Abdulhamid Dashti told FNA on Tuesday.
“The financial, arms and media support for the Takfiri militias increases their danger for the Arab region, especially in the Persian Gulf,” he added.
Elsewhere, Dashti underlined the necessity for the Arab states to cooperate with Iran in all fields given the country’s willingness to further develop relations with them.
His remarks came after the recent terrorist attack at a Shiite mosque in Kuwait which was claimed by the ISIL-affiliated groups.
Two Iranians named Seyed Movahhedi and Fazel Matroudi were among the 27 people killed in the last month’s terrorist attack which was later claimed by the ISIL. The blast also injured 227 people, 5 of them Iranian nationals.
An ISIL-affiliated group said it was behind the attack. The ISIL has carried out similar attacks in neighboring Saudi Arabia and Yemen in the last few weeks.
