Sayyed Nasrallah to Speak on July Victory Anniversary
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is to deliver a speech on Friday August 14, to mark the divine victory of July war in 2006.
Hezbollah sources announced that Sayyed Nasrallah will address crowds during a ceremony that will be held on the occasion in Wadi al-Hjeir in south Lebanon.
Wadi al-Hjeir is of much significance since it witnessed the destruction of the Israeli Merkava in July war by the resistance Mujahideen. It is well-known now as the iconic valley whose battle had changed the course of the war.
In July 2006 the Zionist entity waged a brutal war on Lebanon, killing more than 1200 Lebanese and injuring thousands others. The war started in July 12 when Israeli occupation forces launched waves of air strikes on Lebanon just after Hezbollah fighters were able to achieve a heroic operation, “the “Sincere Promise,” and detain two Israeli soldiers.
After 33 days of devastating strikes and ground assault, which was courageously confronted by Hezbollah forces, the war ended in August 14.
