Int’l Islamic Human Rights Award Goes to Iraq, Yemen

The representatives of Iraq and Yemen were granted the International Islamic Human Rights Award in a ceremony held in Tehran on Wednesday.

During the ceremony to commemorate the Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Day, the first prize of the International Islamic Human Rights went to Sheikh Khalid Abdulwahhab Molla, the head of Iraq’s Assembly of Sunni Clerics, for his serious efforts to fight against extremism.

Also, Nasser al-Ali, the representative of the Organization to Defend Yemen’s Democratic Rights and Freedom, grasped the second prize for strenuously defending human rights.

It was the second time that such a ceremony was held to award the International Islamic Human Rights prize.
