IOF bars Palestinian children from accessing the Aqsa Mosque
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) barred Palestinian children from entering the Aqsa Mosque and assaulted them on Tuesday. One minor was arrested as well.
The IOF also banned Jerusalemite women from accessing the Mosque. Their names were put at the various gates of the Aqsa Mosque which are controlled by IOF soldiers.
Q-Press foundation, which is concerned in the observation of Israeli violations, revealed that Israeli policemen escorted by Special Forces violently pushed Palestinian children who were present at al-Asbat gate, forced them to get out of the Old City’s wall, closed the gate, and blocked traffic.
Tension ran high at the vicinity of the holy site because of the prevention of children and women from entering the Mosque in addition to assaulting children. The Palestinian minors replied by chanting Allah the Greatest and pro-Aqsa slogans. They threw eggs and water at the Israeli forces.
Inside the Mosque, worshipers confronted the settlers who broke into the Aqsa Mosque under Israeli police protection.
IOF usually targets Palestinian children at the Aqsa Mosque in light of their daily presence at its vicinity due to schools’ summer vacation. The soldiers attack children regardless of their age.
