Israeli Occupation Forces Raid Jenin, Clash with Palestinian Fighters
Israeli occupation forces raided the northern city of Jenin late Monday, but met fierce resistance from Palestinian fighters who repelled the large-scale arrest raid.
Palestinian security officials said that violent clashes broke out after more than 40 Israeli military vehicles raided Jenin and the refugee camp in the city.

The occupation forces used explosive devices a home belonging to a resistance figure. Witnesses said that Israeli soldiers fired Energa anti-tank grenades at the home and subsequently demolished the building.
The Israeli occupation army said in a press statement that the arrest raid was a joint operation carried out by the army, Israeli Border Police and Israeli intelligence, “to arrest a senior (Islamic Resistance movement) Hamas operative in Jenin.”
The statement said: “During the activity, after repeated calls to surrender himself to the forces, security forces demolished the house in which the wanted terrorist was suspected hiding. Gunshots were reportedly fired in the vicinity of the activity.”
