“Daesh was created by West’s interventions in ME”
The new leader of Britain’s Labour Party has held the West accountable for the rise of the Daesh Takfiri group in the Middle East.
“ISIS (Daesh) did not come from nowhere. They have got a lot of money that’s come from somewhere… They’ve got a huge supply of arms that have come from somewhere,” Jeremy Corbyn told online news portal The Middle East Eye on Friday, adding that the Takfiri terrorist group was “a creation of Western interventions in the region.”
He referred to Saudi Arabia’s support for Daesh terrorists, saying that British officials should recognize that “the vast amount of arms that we have sold – particularly to Saudi Arabia – end up somewhere and those are now being used.”
The party leader further dismissed the US-led coalition allegedly targeting the positions of Daesh terrorists in Syria, saying London’s participation in the airstrikes against the Arab country is “legally questionable.”
