Lebanese Sunni scholar: Supreme Leader’s remarks, turn in KSA behavior
Lebanese Sunni cleric referred to the turn in behavior of Saudi Arabia in regards to Mina stampede following the determined remarks by the Supreme Leader adding that Al Saud should serve Hajj pilgrims rather than the US and Zionist regime of Israel.
Sheikh Suhaib Habli, member of Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon, in his weekly Friday sermon in Sidon, expressed regret over the tragedy during Hajj pilgrimage criticizing claimants of Saudi Arabia for the catastrophe, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” Unfortunately Hajj pilgrimage has turned into a disaster when the main reason behind the killing of thousands of Muslims was ignorance and incompetency of those who only claim to serve the two holy mosques.”
Lebanese cleric referred to the remarks by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic and noted,” When Saudi Arabia ignored its duties in regards to Iranian victims of Mina incident, then mighty remarks by grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, warned Saudi officials to be vigilant over their behavior and maintain the outcomes of their ignorance.”
He called Mina mishap as a stain in reputation of Saudi government and said,” Al Saud should serve Hajj pilgrims rather than the US and Zionist regime or show its brutality by killing the oppressed people of Yemen.”
Sheikh Suhaib Habli, called the tragedy as an ultimatum and an ending point to management of Saudi government over Hajj ceremony proposing that the annual event be run by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
