Iranian FM said that the fate of other missing pilgrims in the tragic incident of Mina should be determined.
Speaking during the meeting of Iran’s ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions to other countries, Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of Mina incident and said “our colleagues who died in the tragic incident were among the best and industrious people in the Iranian Foreign Ministry whose valuable goals will be preserved and continued in the ministry.”
“The ministry and the family of Tehran’s former ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi are waiting for his return and we hope that he would be found as soon as possible,” the Iranian official added.
Identifying the reasons, taking measures to restore the victims’ rights, and planning for moves to prevent the recurrence of such tragedies in future Hajj pilgrimage are on the Foreign Ministry’s agenda, Zarif said.
