Rafsanjani: World should exercise rationality in dealing with extremism
Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjnai said on Monday that the world should adopt a national and international will in the fight against extremism.
Addressing a group of teachers, students and staff at University of Technical and Vocational Training, he said in some cases terrorists under the guise of refugees go to the country of destination and make arrangement and coordination through telecommunications systems.
One of the grave mistakes of the west was that for a long time they merely focused on Iran while terrorists were growing up among Salafis or even in European countries or among other religions and now have emerged in the form of Al-Qaeda, Daesh and the likes, Rafsanjani said.
Opponents of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) mainly the Zionists by resorting to intimidation have put pressure over the US to dissolve the JCPOA.
‘If the world seeks to avoid such insecurity challenges, it should adopt a national and international determination to deal with extremism,’ he said.
He also warned against the new wave of extremism in the world.
