Syrian Air Force Intensifies Strikes with Advances of Army
Syrian Fighter Jets, Army Pound ISIL Militants, Ammunition Depot, in Different Cities
The Syrian warplanes targeted the ISIL militants’ gathering centers and ammunition depot in Shamer village and al-Bab city with many bombs and missiles which ended in large explosions in the terrorist sites and heavy death toll of the militant group.
Sources said earlier today that the Syrian air force destroyed the Takfiri terrorists’ military positions in Bani Zeid neighborhood in Aleppo, killing tens of terrorists and injuring dozens more.
The Syrian fighter jets precisely hit the militants’ positions in villages of Abu Jaloul, Jub al-Kaf and Tibeh in Aleppo province and inflicted heavy losses on them.
On Friday, the Syrian airstrikes hit positions and movements of the ISIL terrorists East of Maheen town, in the vicinity of Hawarin and in al-Qaryatain city in Homs province.
A number of the ISIL’s bases, vehicles, weapons, munitions and equipment were destroyed in the air raids.
There were no immediate reports of possible casualties among ISIL ranks.
Reports said on Friday that the Syrian Army traced and targeted a long military column of ISIL terrorists near Maheen in Homs province, inflicting heavy losses on them.
The Syrian army ambushed al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front on Sheikh Meskeen-Enkhel road, killed or wounded 15 of the terrorists and destroyed a number of their vehicles.
On Friday, the Syrian army troops repelled an offensive of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) on their positions near the town of Sheikh Meskeen in Dara’a province and killed at least 24 militants.
The sources said that the FSA’s “Al-Khalifa’ Al-Rashideen Battalion” of 1st Brigade launched a large-scale assault near Sheikh Meskeen in order to force the Syrian army’s 5th Armored Division to exit the Western district of the town, but the Syrian army’s 15th Brigade of the 5th Armored Division encroached enemy combatants with a powerful blow that forced the aforementioned group to retreat towards the Eastern district in order to evade the Syrian Armed Forces and the swarming helicopter gunships from the Syrian Air Force.
Rafa’at Abdulrazzaq Hammoud, a senior commander of “Jabhat Thewar Sarqib”, and three of his companions were killed when an explosive device went off in the vicinity of Sarqib city on Frida.
Also on Friday, the General Staff of the Syrian Army announced that nearly 33 terrorists of the so-called Jeish al-Islam group were killed by the Army’s Special Forces near the Northwestern city of Saraqib.
The sources said that in addition to the militants’ heavy death toll, many of their military vehicles were destroyed in the Syrian army soldiers’ offensive.
On Friday, the Syrian air raids hit the Takfiris’ concentration centers in Dweir al-Akrad, al-Sheikh Yousef, Jabal al-Katf and Jabal Abu Hiddo in Lattakia, field sources said.
Tens of militants were killed in the air attacks; FNA reported.
