21 Palestinian radio stations demand release of martyrs’ bodies
The government-affiliated al-Ray news network on Wednesday launched a media day for highlighting the issue of Israel’s detention of Palestinian martyrs’ bodies.
The media day started at 10:30 am and continued for nine hours with the participation of 21 radio stations from Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Head of the network Imad Hadidi, who announced the start of the event during a news conference yesterday, stated that there are 44 Palestinian martyrs detained by Israel, including the bodies of 14 children and four women.
Hadidi affirmed that the campaign was aimed to demand the immediate and unconditional release of all dead bodies of Palestinians killed by Israelis, describing Israel’s detention of bodies as a blatant violation of the international law.
22 Palestinian dignitaries from the government, the legislative council, the resistance factions, and the Red Cross as well as human rights activists, officials from concerned organizations, families of martyrs, and journalists participated in the day.
