PMD Now Part of History, Iranian Diplomat Says after IAEA Report
A ranking Iranian diplomat said the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Wednesday report has practically brought an end to the allegations of possible military dimensions (PMD) of the country’s nuclear activities.
“The discussion of PMD is now part of the history, and we have gone past this difficult stage in working with the agency,” Hamid Baeedinejad, the director general for political and international affairs at Iran’s foreign ministry, said in his Instagram page.
He underlined that the report leaves the IAEA Board of Governors with no choice but to close the case on the so-called PMD in Tehran’s nuclear program.
Making a reference to the final clause of the report, Baeedinejad said it has explicitly confirmed non-diversion of nuclear material in Iran.
