Sweden slams Israel’s extrajudicial killing of Palestinians
Swedish foreign minister Margot Wallstrom on Friday criticized Israel for carrying out widespread extrajudicial executions against Palestinians involved in alleged stabbing attacks.
Addressing the Swedish parliament, Wallstrom said Israel’s response to such attacks was “disproportionate,” citing as proof the higher number of Palestinian casualties compared to those of Israelis.
Although, she condemned stabbing attacks against Israelis, but she said that Israel must not conduct killings outside the boundaries of courts.
Wallstrom’s remarks outraged the Israeli occupation government, prompting its foreign ministry to release a statement to denounce them and to justify the killing of Palestinians.
The ministry called her remarks as “offensive and far from reality,” describing the killing of the occupied Palestinian people, who are exposed to daily Israeli violations and crimes, as “a moral war on terror.
