Hamas starts activities on its 28th inception anniversary
The Hamas Movement has announced the launch of activities marking the 28th anniversary of its inception.
The announcement came in a news conference held on Tuesday outside the house of Sheikh Mohamed Taha, one of its prominent founders, in al-Bureij refugee camp in Gaza.
Senior Hamas official Ziyad Abu Zaid stated in an opening speech that Hamas was born a mature movement and 28 of its age had made it stronger and more steadfast in defending the Palestinian rights.
Abu Zaid stressed that Gaza, which had fought three wars, defended all Palestine and not only itself.
The news conference was attended by Hamas officials, lawmakers, dignitaries and scores of citizens.
