Haneyya: Only a generation armed with faith able to liberate Palestine
Deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has said that building a generation armed with faith is a step towards liberation from the occupation.
Haneyya made his remarks in a speech at a graduation ceremony held on Saturday for the students of the Holy Qur’an and Sunna House in Rafah district, south of the Gaza Strip.
“Today, we continue to proceed along the road and in the right direction towards building the generation of victory and liberation, and the society of resistance, faith, compassion and mercifulness,” Haneyya stated.
He expressed his belief that “the generation of Qur’an, faith, and mosques will liberate Palestine, Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque,” affirming that “those who have faith can defeat their enemy even if they have no enough weapon.”
He highlighted that Israel’s recent intents to divide the Aqsa Mosque were thwarted by those weaponless men and women who only carried their Holy Qur’an in the face of its soldiers.
He added that those faithful men and woman of the Aqsa Mosque succeeded in planting the seed of intifada in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
The Hamas official finally offered his thanks to the instructors and administrators of the House for the efforts they had made for the graduation of 200 teachers and memorizers of the holy Qur’an.
