Syrian Army Repels ISIL Attack on Key Deir Ezzur Village
The Syrian army thwarted the ISIL attack on al-Jafre village in Deir Ezzur province, killing and injuring a group of terrorists.
On Sunday, the Syrian Army troops and the popular forces were informed about the deployment of the ISIL terrorists in the province of Deir Ezzur, and targeted them heavily.
The Syrian army and the country’s National Defense Forces (NDF) clashed with the ISIL in al-Ummal neighborhood and near Pharmex pharmaceutical company in Deir Ezzur province, which claimed the lives of at least 11 terrorists.
Deir Ezzur province, as one of the most important strongholds of the ISIL, has border with Iraq and has been one of the main infiltration borders for the international terrorists to join the ISIL and fight against the government forces.
The Syrian and Russian warplanes have conducted too many combat sorties to target the ISIL in this province to prevent the infiltration of more terrorists and arms.
