Sunni cleric bans disrespecting Shia Muslims

Senior Sunni figure stressed necessity of confrontation with extremist religious movements and said Sunni community bans any effort which might disrespect Shia Muslims.
Molavi Abdul Hamid Esmaeel Zehi, Sunni prayer leader of Zahedan, in Sistan and Baluchistan Province, attending conference on “Prophet’s Lifestyle and Islamic Unity” slammed efforts by enemies against Islamic Revolution and create dispersion amongst Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” enemies find their interests in dispersion of different groups of people and in waging clashes among people in Islamic countries because then they can open their way into the countries and realize their hostile plots.”

He hailed the sustained unity among the people in Sistan and Baluchistan and noted,” We are witness that the enemies of Iran have not achieved their aims and the major part of present security which prevails in the country is owed  to the people who have prevented many plots through maintaining their vigilance and defend their beliefs.”

Molavi Abdul Hamid stressed importance of confrontation with religious extremist groups and said,” We, in our Sunni community do not let anyone to disrespect our Shia brothers or scholars and we will not spare any effort to confront extremist groups.”

Sunni scholar referred to the wise management of the Supreme Leader during Iran’s nuclear talks and said,” Illegal regime of Israel is trying to wage war among all countries but Islamic Republic of Iran could achieve all its rights due to the management of Ayatollah Khamenei.

Prayer leader of Zahedan noted negotiations as the strategy which should dominate the present world.
