Thousands in Nigeria Denounce the Execution of Sheikh Nimr
Brothers and Sisters of the Islamic movement in Nigeria in Kano today Sunday 3rd January, 2016, like other Muslims in Nigeria joined, the international community in denouncing the killing of the renown Muslim cleric Shaikh Nimr by Saudi Monarch.
The protest matching started around 4:30pm passed through some residential neighborhood and major streets in Kano city which included Gwammaja, IBB way, and ended at Kofar Wambai at around 5:45pm.
The protesters also called for the immediate release of Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob El Zakzaky (H) and his followers held by the Nigerian
Army since December 13th, 2015 with many who have sustained injuries detained without proper medical attention.
Mal Sunusi Abdul Kadir, after the protest, made a brief speech denouncing the tragic killing of Shaikh Nimr and the continued demand of the Islamic Movement over the atrocities of the Nigerian government on Shaikh Zakzaky (H) and the Islamic movement.
Earlier in the day Muslims held a prayer session at Kano Hussainiyya.
