10 January 2016 19:15

Iranian senior MP said Saudi Arabia’s decision to cut ties with Iran was a pre-planned move following Saudi Arabia’s repeated failures before Iran.

Speaking during a ceremony to mark martyrdom of Iranian diplomat Ghazanfar Roknabadi during annual Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia last year, Head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Al Saud regime lacks any Islamic principles and norms prevailing in today world.

Condemning the attacks on Saudi embassy in Tehran and its consulate in the northeastern city of Mashhad, Boroujerdi said Iran has so far rejected hasty, extremist revolutionary movements and favors rationality and prudence in all areas.

Stressing the need for continued cooperation with the world, Iranian senior MP underlined taking a strong and firm position in the case of Saudi Arabia.

However, he added, in majority of the cases, our diplomacy should be based on wisdom.
