Syrian Army Wins Back New Strategic Areas in Darayya

The Syrian army made new military gains in the town Darayya in Western Ghouta in Damascus countryside by taking control of more regions.

The Syrian army took control of 14 residential blocks in al-Fosoul al-Arba’a street in Darayya town.

Several militants were killed and, at least, a dozen more were injured in the clashes with Syrian troops.

Earlier today in a relevant development, the Syrian army made a strong drive against the militant groups in Western Ghouta in suburban Damascus, killing tens of Takfiri terrorists and injuring dozens more.

The army units inflicted heavy losses on the foreign-backed terrorists in as the Syrian troops intensified their attacks on the militant groups in Damascus.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured in heavy clashes with the army in Darayya.

In a relevant development on Saturday, the militant groups’ defense lines in Western Ghouta were massively attacked by the Syrian army, popular forces and the country’s fighter jets.

The attacks inflicted major losses on the terrorists.

The Syrian warplanes bombed the militant groups’ defense lines and trenches in Darayya, Deir al-Asafir, al-Shifouniyeh farms, Khan Shieh farms in Western Ghouta, which claimed the lives of many terrorists and destroyed their trenches.

On Thursday, a Syrian army commander said his forces have restarted attacks on militants in Darayya as the country’s air raids and artillery attacks continue to strike terrorists’ positions.

“The Syrian army has advanced in Darayya city in the Damascus countryside of Western Ghouta,” the commander said.

He added that his forces have reclaimed several blocks in al-Fosoul al-Arba’a street from the terrorists in the Southern parts of Darayya.

Several terrorists were killed and injured during the purging operations, the commander confirmed.
