Source Reveals Syrian Army’s Secret Tactics in War on ISIL

16 January 2016 18:03

The Syrian army has managed to drive ISIL terrorists back from their positions in recent months through new military tactics, a source disclosed on Saturday.

The Syrian army has targeted the ISIL headquarters in different parts of Deir Ezzur with various weapons, is expanding its security cordon around the military bases and has now launched a war of attrition against the terrorists, the source underlined.

Also, the Syrian ground force in Deir Ezzur has recently adopted more wise tactics to fight against the ISIL and it quickly comes out of the defensive crouch and inflicts heavy damage and toll on the terrorists by offensive tactics, he added.

The Syrian army’s new tactics lead the ISIL terrorists to regions that its engineering units have already planted bombs and mines and this trick kills the terrorists, the source continued.

The Syrian Army troops have engaged in a heavy battle with the ISIL terrorists in one of the main neighborhoods of the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, the army announced Friday, adding the pro-government forces have thus far killed or wounded tens of terrorists.

“The Syrian army men’s continued attacks against the ISIL defense lines in al-Jabilah have thus far claimed the lives of many terrorists and have destroyed their military equipment and vehicles,” the army said.

The Syria armed forces have been heavily pounding the ISIL positions across the province in the recent weeks.

On Wednesday the Syrian army launched artillery attacks on terrorists’ positions in Deir Ezzur province as the country’s warplanes also targeted the militants.

The Syrian army fired artillery shells at militants’ positions in the neighborhoods of al-Rasafa and al-Sina’ah in Deir Ezzur city, field sources said.

The Syrian fighter jets also pounded terrorists’ concentration centers in al-Busayrah town in Deir Ezzur province.
