Necessity of Muslims’ understanding, unity against crises
Talal Itrisi, director of the Center for Strategic Studies at Lebanon University, in an interview with Taghrib News Agency (TNA) on the sideline of the 29th Islamic Unity Conference, noted the privileges of Islamic Unity Conference for discussing the issues of Muslim countries demanding the participants to sustain the struggles in their own countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the issue of Palestine as one of the most strategic issues in the world of Islam saying that all Muslim world issues are in a way related to the Zionist regime of Israel.
The scholar referred to Takfir and violence as other issues of Muslims and stressed,” Dispersion of Muslims provides the opportunity for the west to intervene in the domestic issues of the Muslims and world Muslims should settle these issues by boosting their solidarity.”
Prominent Lebanese author called Islamic Unity as an opportunity for Muslim researchers to convene and demanded for more chances to be given to Muslim thinkers to study into Muslim world crises and find practical solutions for the issues.
Professor of sociology at the Lebanese University said,” This year we were witness to struggles for improvement and organization of the event as well as the variety in participants of the conference.”
