22 January 2016 18:46

The Syrian Army announced that its soldiers alongside the popular forces engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorist groups of Ahrar al-Sham, Jeish al-Nassr, Jeish al-Fatah and al-Izza Jama’ah across Hama province, and inflicted major losses on the terrorists.

“The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) targeted gathering centers of Ahrar al-Sham and Jeish al-Nassr in Jabal Shahshabo, which ended in destruction of a depot of weapons and ammunition as well as a number of the militants’ vehicles,” the army said.

“Jeish al-Fatah’ defense lines in the village of Lahaya came under the heavy attack of the Syrian government forces, which left several terrorists killed or wounded,” the army said, adding, “Several vehicles of al-Izza Jama’ah terrorist group were also destroyed as a result of the army attack in Latmin North of Hama province.”

Also on Thursday, the Syrian army and popular forces’ special operations in the Northwestern battlefronts of the province of Hama near the German camp claimed the lives of 12 terrorists.

The Syrian army units killed 12 Takfiri terrorists and destroyed one of their armored vehicles between the German Camp and al-Sarmaniya in Hama’s Northwestern countryside, a military source said.
