Supreme Leader underlines Need for Efforts to Promote Prayers
In a message to Iran’s 24th National Prayers Congress, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei urged all, especially government bodies, to take practical steps in the promotion of prayers.
The message was read out at the congress on Tuesday by Ayatollah Abaedini, the Friday prayers leader of the city of Qazvin.
Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei reiterated that one of the most effective ways to curb social harms is promoting prayers.
“Make efforts to make sure that not even one teenager or youth in the country becomes neglectful about prayers. This is one of the best ways to (ensure) spiritual and mental health for our people and society,” the Supreme Leader added.
The 24th National Prayers Congress kicked off Tuesday in Qazvin, 150 kilometers west of the capital Tehran.
