Yemeni Missiles, Mortarts Rain Down on Saudi Military Bases in Jizan, Najran, Asir Provinces
The Yemeni forces fired 70 missiles and mortar shells at Al-Qawiya and Jbal al-Dokhan military bases in Jizan province, killing over 10 Saudi military troops.
The army and popular forces also hit the Saudi troops’ military centers in Al-Rabou’a in Asir province with mortars and missiles. There is yet no precise report on the number of Saudi army casualties in the attack in Rabou’a.
In Najran province, a military base in Western Al-Shurfa also came under the Yemeni troops’ rocket attacks, where at least four Saudi soldiers lost their lives.
In a relevant development earlier today, the Yemeni army and popular forces destroyed the military equipment of the Saudi-led forces in Ma’rib province in Eastern Yemen, killing Saudi Arabia’s key commander in the region.
Two armored personnel carriers and a military vehicle of the Saudi-led forces were destroyed in Koufel region in Ma’rib province.
Meantime, the Yemeni forces thwarted an attack by the Saudi forces on al-Khaneq region in al-J’adan of Ma’rib province.
“The commander of the Second Battalion of Saudi Arabia’s Division 314, Ahmad al-Doudehi, was killed in the Yemeni forces’ operations in Al-J’adan region,” the Arabic-language Al-Masira news website quoted a Yemeni military source as saying on Saturday.
Also today, the Yemeni army and popular forces inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists in the coastal province of al-Hudayda in Western Yemen, killing two Al-Qaeda commanders and destroying a large cache of their weapons and ammunition.
Abdullah al-Monem Bahr and Esmayeel Ebrahim who were two senior Al-Qaeda commander were killed in the Yemeni forces’ military operations in Bajel city in al-Hudayda province.
Al-Monem Bahr was responsible for managing and guiding the Al-Qaeda terrorists while Esmayeel Ebrahim was in charge of the terrorists’ military training.
The Yemeni forces also destroyed the arms depot of the Al-Qaeda terrorists in Bajel city.
Esmayeel Ebrahim had masterminded the explosion of Bajel City’s central library, the city’s security and political building and the assassination of the city’s security and political director.
A large number of other terrorists were also arrested by the Yemeni forces.
Also on Friday, the Yemeni army and popular forces shot down a Saudi fighter jet and a spy drone in Southern and Northern Yemen.
The Yemeni forces targeted a remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicle as it was flying over a strategic district in Sa’ada, which lies 240 kilometers (150 miles) North of the capital, Sana’a.
No further details were available about the type of the drone and the exact location that it was shot down.
Also on Friday, the Yemeni forces shot down a Saudi-led fighter jet in Southern Yemen before it could strike residential areas there.
The Yemeni army and popular committees took control of three more military bases in Jizan province.
The Yemeni forces captured Jbal al-Doud, al-Modbe and al-Aril military bases in Jizan province.
Tens of Saudi-led forces were killed and dozens more were injured in Yemeni forces’ special operations in Jizan province.
Meantime, the Yemeni army announced that at least a Saudi and three Qatari soldiers were killed in the Yemeni forces’ retaliatory missile attacks on al-Makhrouq’s military base in Najran province in the Southern parts of the Kingdom.
