Syrian Army Eliminates 70 ISIS Members in Massive Operation in Aleppo
Syrian air forces have launched airstrikes against the ISIS terrorist group in Aleppo province, killing 70 its members, a military source said.
Russia has been assisting the Syrian forces in their anti-terror campaign, launching airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria at the request of Assad since late September 2015.
“70 militants have been eliminated, over 60 were injured as a result of airstrikes of the Syrian Air Force against Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) command posts in the regions of Jeb Ghabsha, Al-Bab … in Aleppo province,” a military source told Ria Novosti.
A large cache of terrorists’ weapons was seized in Kafr Naya in Aleppo province. The pro-government forces took full control of the strategic village a few days ago.
Syria has been in a state of war since 2011, with the forces loyal to President Bashar Assad fighting against several extremist and terrorist factions, such as ISIS, which is outlawed in almost every world country, including Russia and the United States, FNA reported.
