21 February 2016 8:51

The Tiger Forces and their allies have completed the encirclement of east Aleppo after spending the last 5 months on the offensive against the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).

However, the Tiger Forces were not done: following a long week of battling the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) at the Aleppo Thermal Power Plant, the joint forces of the Syrian Arab Army have finally liberated the site, killing over 30 enemy combatants and 4 of their armored vehicles on Saturday.

According to a battlefield correspondent  embedded that is embedded with the army at the Kuweires Military Airport, the Tiger Forces seized the entire facility after breaking through ISIS’ defenses at Tal Abu Danah, which is the strategic hilltop that overlooks the Thermal Power Plant from its northeastern perimeter.

In addition to capturing the Thermal Power Plant, the Tiger Forces – backed by Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) – imposed full control over the village of Balat and its surrounding farms.

With these impressive strides made in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside on Saturday, the Tiger Forces and their allies have an estimated 800+ ISIS terrorists (Tiger Forces estimate) surrounded inside the Al-Safira Plains.
