Iranian jurisprudents stress massive participation in upcoming election
Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, senior jurisprudent in his weekly teaching session in Qom Mosque called participation of the people as a religious and Islamic responsibility and a manifest for power of the Islamic Revolution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric assimilated partaking in election to religious obligations like prayers and fasting since it is a contribution to the glory of Islam and demanded the Iranian nation to prove power and determination of Islamic Revolution to enemies of Islam and Iran.
Ayatollah Noori Hamedani referred to the holy book of Islam calling the people to rationality and thinking and said,” We have to be careful and in a unanimous move elect those who believe in the Islamic Revolution, Islamic system in Iran and the blood of our martyrs.”
Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, top Shia jurisprudent, highlighted importance of the upcoming Parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections and urged for massive participation of the people in February 26 elections in Iran.
“According to Qur’anic teachings, people should elect those who are sturdy both in their beliefs and in action and also loyal to Islamic principles, tactful and capable to propose plans for the country.” noted the cleric.
Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli, senior scholar in his weekly Fiq’h class highlighted enthusiastic and massive participation of the people in elections and calling for an election based on knowledge, rationality and thinking by all people.
Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, prominent Shia jurisprudent, called participation of the people in elections as a religious and moral obligation and said,” Participation of the people in elections will prove loyalty of the nation to the Islamic system and country.”
He referred to the massive participation of the Iranians in rallies for anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and said the epic move of the Iranian nation will be repeated in February 26 elections.
