Zionist inspired Islamophobia sweeping across US: Scholar
The recent execution-style murder of three young black Muslim Americans in Indiana state is the latest example of a wave of “Zionist inspired Islamophobia” sweeping across the United States, an American scholar and radio host says.
Anti-Muslim sentiment in the US has worsened significantly in the last few months as a result of the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, as well as the anti-Islamic rhetoric by some Republican US presidential candidates, said Dr. Kevin Barrett, a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance.
The San Bernardino attack on December 2, 2015, which was allegedly carried out a by an extremist couple, was in fact a “false flag operation” conducted by three white paramilitary individuals to spread negative feelings toward Muslims in the US, Barrett told Press TV on Sunday.
“These events are designed to insert hatred of Muslims into the unconscious minds…of the public and unfortunately their working,” he added. “The United States is descending into a state like Nazi Germany in the 1930s.”
An investigation is underway after three young men were found shot to death “execution-style” in an abandoned home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, authorities said.
Their bodies were discovered Wednesday in a home in Fort Wayne, said Rusty York, the city’s public safety director.
The coroner’s office identified the victims as Muhannad Adam Tairab, 17; Adam Kamel Mekki, 20; and Mohamedtaha Omar, 23.
Islamophobia has recently spiked in the US following the recent mass shootings in California and Paris that were falsely blamed on followers of the Islamic faith.
Anti-Islam rhetoric has also hit the US presidential election of 2016, with GOP candidate Donald Trump creating a furor in the country and around the world by proposing a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims” entering the US.
The billionaire real-estate mogul also called for a database to track Muslims across the United States, and said the US would have “absolutely no choice” but to close down mosques.
