Slaughterer zionist regimes’ ally Britain bans boycotts of israel
The British government has caused outrage with its plans to ban publicly-funded institutions from boycotting Israel.
Pro-Palestinian activists have accused the British government of cracking down on human rights campaigners over plans to ban city councils, public bodies and some student unions from boycotting “unethical” businesses, including those operating in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
The show explored the likely effect the proposed government legislation is likely to have on activists and Palestinian solidarity groups.
As part of the measure, all publicly-funded institutions will be barred from boycotting goods or services by companies complicit in weapons trade, tobacco products or settlements in the occupied West Bank, including East al-Quds (Jerusalem).
A spokesperson for UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s office said that boycotts “undermine good community relations, poisoning and polarizing debate, weakening integration and fuelling anti-Semitism.”
The show critically analyzed the government’s justification for the proposed ban and questioned whether the conflation of Zionism and anti-Semitism was a greater threat to community relations than the boycott of Israeli products campaign.
