Hamas warns of deterioration of prisoners’ health conditions
The Hamas leader Abdurrahman Shadid warned of the deterioration of health conditions among Palestinian sick prisoners in Israeli jails and called for supporting them officially and popularly.
In a press statement, Shadid pointed to the continuation of hunger strike by captive Sami Janazra for the 22nd day and by detainee Imad al-Batran for one month.
He also mentioned the suffering of a large number of captives due to Israeli deliberate medical negligence and the fact that there are 20 prisoners held in isolation cells.
Shadid urged official institutions and competent authorities to activate their role in defending Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails at the international level. He called on human rights organizations to continue work for the sake of exposing Israeli crimes against Palestinian detainees.
